CALLED UP: Five City stars selected in Australia’s U23 squad

Melbourne City’s Daniela Galic, Leah Davidson, Laura Hughes, Naomi Chinnama and Bryleeh Henry have all been selected to represent Australia’s U23s in Sweden.

The 24-player squad will participate in the Four Nations Tournament in Växjö, Sweden during the May/June FIFA Women’s International Window at Visma Arena and Värendsvallen.

City’s five Premiership-winning stars will feature in three friendly fixtures as Australia face the U23 women’s national teams of Sweden, Germany and Poland.

Their respective selections come following stand-out seasons in City colours under Head Coach, Dario Vidosic.

During last week’s Player of the Year awards night, Hughes was crowned Player of the Year as Galic took out the Rising Star Award following another breakout season.
