CALLED UP: Behich named in October Socceroos squad

Aziz Behich has once again been called up to the Socceroos squad, the City skipper set to rejoin national team camp in Adelaide this weekend.

A mainstay of the Socceroos setup for the last decade, Behich was on Friday morning included in new Head Coach Tony Popovic’s first international squad.

He was joined in the 26-man squad by a host of former City stars including Jordy Bos, Connor Metcalfe and Aiden O’Neill.

The squad will assemble in Adelaide over the weekend ahead of a crucial World Cup Qualifier against China, before travelling to Japan for a second vital fixture of the October window.

Behich will then return to Australia and quickly shift focus to our Round 1 A-League Men’s clash away to Newcastle Jets on Saturday 19 October.
