Melbourne City Women’s Captain, Rebekah Stott, will be honoured at half-time of the Melbourne Derby after becoming the first Women’s player to reach 100 games for the Club.
City’s inspiring skipper achieved the historic milestone during the Group Stage of the AFC Women’s Champions League, further cementing her legacy as one of the most influential figures in the Club’s history.
As recognition for this incredible feat, Stott will be presented with a commemorative frame in front of City’s home fans at AAMI Park during half-time of Saturday night’s Melbourne Derby.
A member of City’s inaugural team, Stott has played a crucial role in the Club’s success, winning four Championship trophies and three Premiers Plates. Known for her consistency and leadership, she has become an icon of the Women’s game both in Australia and internationally.
Not only has she shown class and leadership on the field, but also off it. In 2022, she was awarded the PFA’s Community Medal for her role in supporting cancer patients following her own diagnosis, raising over $39,000 for the Leukaemia Foundation.
Don’t miss the opportunity to witness this special recognition at half-time, as we come together to celebrate one of our Club greats. Get your tickets now!
