There is good news for City fans, with star forward Mathew Leckie included and set to return from the quad injury that kept him out of Round 1.
Our number 7 has been training strongly throughout the last week and is doing everything he can to give Vidmar plenty to think about ahead of the Derby.
Joining him in the extended squad is young striker Medin Memeti, as well as Academy product Ben Dunbar.
As announced earlier in the week, Jimmy Jeggo has been suspended for our next two fixtures, the midfielder our only out from the Round 1 win against Newcastle.
Should he be passed fit to start, Leckie would appear the prime candidate to step into midfield in Jeggo’s absence.
If not though, any of Andreas Kuen, Zane Schreiber, Germán Ferreyra or Marco Tilio shape up as strong potential inclusions to slot into the midfield three with Steven Ugarkovic and Nathaniel Atkinson.
