CITY ACADEMY ON INTERNATIONAL STAGE

Three City Academy stars are representing their respective national teams at the AFC U17 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2025.

Mathew Baker has been instrumental for Indonesia, helping the team secure FIFA U17 World Cup qualification after two impressive wins. Baker has played every minute of the tournament so far, starting with a hard-fought 1-0 win over South Korea, followed by a decisive 4-1 win against Yemen.

Indonesia is set to face Afghanistan in their final Group Stage match, where they hope to maintain their winning momentum.

Jonty Benfield and Isiah Boston are proudly wearing the green and gold for Australia. Despite a challenging start with a 1-1 draw against Vietnam, where Boston was a second-half substitute, and a 2-0 defeat to the United Arab Emirates, their journey is far from over.

With one final Group Stage match against Japan ahead, Australia still has everything to play for against the Group B leaders.
