Melbourne City fans are in for a special celebration this Saturday at AAMI Park, with our history-making A-League Women’s team set to lift the Premiers Plate.
At half-time of City’s A-League Men’s clash with Adelaide United, the team of Invincibles will be formally presented with the 2024/25 Premiers Plate trophy, the crowning moment of a regular season that will go down as one of the most dominant in Australian football history.
City became the first team in A-League Women’s history to complete a full home-and-away campaign undefeated, sealing the Premiers Plate with a stunning 5-1 victory over Perth Glory.
Across 23 games, Michael Matricciani’s side amassed 16 wins, seven draws, 56 goals, and not a single defeat, rewriting both league and Club history.

This achievement sees the 2024/25 squad join the legendary “Invincibles” of 2015/16 and 2019/20, with Captain Rebekah Stott and Tyla-Jay Vlajnic remarkably having featured in all three historic campaigns.
City fans are encouraged to stay in their seats at half-time and show their appreciation for this exceptional team.
All City A-League Women’s Members will have the opportunity to redeem a complimentary ticket so nobody misses seeing our City Women lift the plate. Stay tuned for more details in the coming days.
