The wait is finally over — fixtures for the 2025/26 A-Leagues season are here.
It’s shaping up as a massive campaign for both our Men’s and Women’s squads, fresh off an unforgettable 2024/25 where our City Women went through the season undefeated to claim the Premiership, and the Men lifted the Championship trophy after a famous Grand Final win.
Now, the challenge steps up again. Alongside their A-Leagues campaigns, both squads will also be competing on the continental stage, becoming the first Australian club to have both Men’s and Women’s teams involved in AFC competition in the same season.
It promises to be a huge test, but also an exciting chance for City fans to get behind their teams at home and on the road.

What to look out for: Ninja A-League
Michael Matricciani’s side begins its title defence away to Sydney FC at Leichhardt Oval on Saturday 1 November, before returning home the following weekend for a highly anticipated Semi-Final rematch against Central Coast Mariners at the ctrl:cyber Pitch.

The Christmas school holidays will bring two family-friendly doubleheaders at AAMI Park, first against Perth Glory in late December, then Newcastle Jets in mid-January.
The ctrl:cyber Pitch will again serve as our ALW home base for the season, including a blockbuster Melbourne Derby against Victory on Sunday 15 February.
What to look out for: Izusu UTE A-League
Our Isuzu UTE A-League Men’s season begins with a first-ever Round 1 meeting against Western Sydney Wanderers at CommBank Stadium on Saturday 18 October, before returning to AAMI Park the following week for our home opener against Perth Glory.
The first Derby of the season comes in Round 4 when we face Victory away – our first clash since that unforgettable Grand Final triumph. But the biggest home fixture of the season arrives on Saturday 20 December, when we host the Christmas Derby at AAMI Park.

It’s a family-friendly run through the festive period, with four home games (including a doubleheader) across the school holidays, before a strong finish to the season with seven of our final ten matches at AAMI Park. It’s the perfect chance for the City faithful to help drive the team forward into finals.
Three fixtures will have dates and times confirmed later due to our AFC Champions League Elite campaign, but plenty of mouth-watering clashes are already locked in.
