A trip to Adelaide awaits your City boys after being drawn against Metrostars in the Australia Cup Quarter Final draw last week, and the match details have now been confirmed by Football Australia.
We’ll face off against the NPLSA grand finalists on Thursday 14 September at their home ground of TK Shutter Reserve in Klemzig, with kick-off set for 7:30pm AEST (7pm local).
City progressed to the final eight of the Australia Cup thanks to a dominant performance against Wellington in Oakleigh a little over a week ago.
Steven Ugarkovic’s wonder-volley took a slight deflection off Tolgay Arslan to open scoring, before a second-half brace to Jamie Maclaren sealed the 3-0 result.
Maclaren is set to lead City on a permanent basis for the first time next Thursday night after having been officially named Men’s captain last week.
This fixture against MetroStars will also mark City’s last hitout before our AFC Champions League campaign begins the following week.
