Melbourne City FC has today finalised its A-League Women squad ahead of Friday night’s season opener away to Canberra United.
The Club can confirm that Sally James recently fractured her thumb in a training incident which will see the young goalkeeper miss the early stages of the season.
James’ recovery is going well and we look forward to seeing her back on the pitch, with a return likely to come early in January.
Following a successful trial as a train-on player this pre-season, 22-year-old goalkeeper Coco Majstorovic has signed as an injury replacement until the end of December.
A star in the NPL Queensland competition, Majstorovic was most recently the starting keeper for league-winning club Lions FC.
City has also signed 16-year-old midfielder Isabella Accardo as a scholarship player for the 2021/22 season.
