City set for three huge games of A-League Men action

City fans are in for a treat with three blockbusters at AAMI Park to come over the next week and a half.

After the disappointment of Sunday’s postponement away to Wellington and a few changes to our upcoming schedule, we now have our next three A-League Men fixtures locked in and they are going to be big.

All the action kicks off on Wednesday night when City hosts Macarthur in a huge clash in the context of the race for the Premiers Plate. It will be a case of second on the table meets fourth, and we’re also looking forward to the return of fan favourite Craig Noone.

Noone played a key role in our double-winning season, famously scoring the header that sealed the Premiers Plate against the Mariners, and Wednesday night will mark his first game against City in Macarthur colours.

The action continues on Saturday evening with a huge top of the table clash against Western United giving City a big opportunity to put itself in a great position to challenge for a second consecutive Premiership.

Although this match is a Western United home fixture, all City Members have been sent details on how to redeem a free ticket.

After a pair of 1-0 defeats to Western earlier this season, there’s no doubt Patrick Kisnorbo’s men will be fired up and desperate for the three points on Saturday.

A huge week and a half of action then wraps up with the biggest game of them all, The Melbourne Derby on Saturday 19 March.

It was a pulsating encounter across the 90 minutes last time around with a great atmosphere at AAMI and action at both ends of pitch as the teams were unable to be split and the contest ended 2-2.

There’s no way you’ll want to miss the next one!

Fans that have purchased tickets for the original Melbourne Derby date do not have to do anything as those tickets remain valid for the rescheduled date. For those who can no longer attend, Ticketek will offer refunds and can be contacted online here or over the phone on 132 849.
