Ivanhoe Grammar has taken out Melbourne City’s Premier Girls tournament while Pascoe Vale Girls were victorious in the Schools of the North Girls tournament.

Conditions were perfect for football last Friday at Darebin International Sports Centre as eight teams competed for the Premier Girls Tournament. Ivanhoe Grammar proved too strong throughout the day, eventually defeating a gallant Carey Grammar in the final on penalties. Penola College and St Monicas played off for third and fourth place with St Monicas coming out 3-0 winners.

The Schools of the North Tournament was played in a friendly spirit at John Fawkner College on Monday. Pascoe Vale Girls College were dominant throughout the day, taking out the tournament with a brilliant attacking style which saw them score 25 and concede only two. Hosts John Fawkner College fought well to make the final whilst Charles La Trobe College overcame Catholic Ladies College in the third and fourth place play-off.

Melbourne City FC would like to thank all teams for participating as well as the FFV, SEDA and La Trobe University for their continued support.
