At the beginning of May, all 13 A-Leagues club CEOs met with the APL Executive team to review the establishment of a new league-wide Fan Representative Group.
Work on a new model for fan representation in the A-Leagues has been underway since early 2023, including benchmarking against global best practice and consulting with local stakeholders to come up with the best model for our league.
With unanimous support of this initiative from club CEOs and the APL, it was agreed that each club would commit to establishing their own individual Fan Representative Groups ahead of the 2023/24 season.

With the 2023/24 season fast approaching, we’re now calling for applicants.
A chair will be elected from this Club group to represent Melbourne City FC supporters in the new league-wide Fan Representative Group, with minutes from meetings to be shared between the Clubs and the League, and to be published on official channels.
We are now inviting all Melbourne City FC members interested in being a part of the Melbourne City FC Fan Representative Group to submit their applications.
We want to ensure that all voices are heard and that decisions reflect the best interests of our supporters, therefore this group will be carefully selected to represent our broad fanbase. We encourage diversity and welcome fans of all ages, backgrounds, and demographics to apply.
Whether you’ve been with us from the start or you’re a new addition to the City family, we want to hear from you.
We thank you for your continued support.
