REACTION: City stars react to making ALM history

City has created A-League Men’s history, becoming the first team to claim three consecutive Premiers Plates.

Currently sitting on 49 points, City has equalled its highest-ever points tally in a season, matching the past two Premiership winning campaigns, with two games remaining.

Western United’s 1-0 win over Adelaide United tonight confirmed that the Premiers Plate would again call the City Football Academy home.

Following the result, City’s premiership winning stars were quick to share their joy on social media.

Back-to-back-to-back

Valon Berisha shared his delight on Instagram, sharing that his decision to join City is an ‘amazing experience’ which has given him ‘so much more’ then he expected.

Andrew Nabbout was another to share the ‘HISTORY MAK3RS’ graphic along with the words, ‘so proud of this team’. Richard van der Venne’s message was clear, ‘one of my reasons to come to Melbourne… A-League CHAMPIONS!!!’.

Star striker Jamie Maclaren’s Instagram story read ‘CONSIST3NCY 🏆🏆🏆’.

City skipper Scott Jamieson was quick to react on Twitter.
