THANK YOU, TJ: Experienced defender departs City

After 55 appearances, two Premierships and four Championships, Tyla-Jay Vlajnic will depart Melbourne City FC.

Vlajnic has been a part of the club’s Women’s squad since its inaugural season and will be a sorely missed member of the locker room.

She finishes her time at City sitting third on the club’s all-time Women’s appearance list, behind a pair of Championship winning teammates in Steph Catley and Rebekah Stott.

A key member of numerous silverware winning squads over the years, Vlajnic’s versatility on the pitch saw her used both as a full-back and further up the pitch on the wing,

“The past 7 years at City have been nothing short of amazing,” Vlajnic said.

“I’d like to thank all of those who were part of those special years, who helped me achieve success, write history and create memories that will last a lifetime!”

“Thank you City and I wish the club all the best for the future.”

Everyone at the club thanks TJ for her huge contributions on and off the pitch over the last seven years and we wish her every success for the future.
