Rebekah Stott rejoins Brighton & Hove Albion

Rebekah Stott has agreed to rejoin British Women’s Super League club Brighton & Hove Albion on a two-year deal.

The Kiwi international joined Brighton from Melbourne City in 2020 and made 8 appearances before being diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

Stott returned to Australia to complete her chemotherapy treatment and has been in remission for over a year.

Her first steps back onto the football pitch came with Bulleen Lions before rejoining Melbourne City ahead of the 2021/22 Liberty A-League Women’s season.

A popular member of the squad, Stott would make 13 appearances for a resurgent City team that finished second on the table. Her strong performances would be rewarded with an international call up from the New Zealand Football Ferns for the 2022 SheBelieves Cup.

Everyone at City wishes Rebekah well as she continues a journey she started 2 years ago and she will always be welcome back at the Club.
