Melbourne City midfielder Leah Davidson has joined the first set of arrivals in Queensland ahead of the Matildas clash with Brazil on Thursday.
Originally set to join the squad following City’s doubleheader with Western Sydney Wanderers this Saturday, Davidson has been called in early for her first senior camp with Australia.
It’s a dream come true for Davidson, who reflected on her national team selection following Australia’s initial squad announcement.
The reliable defensive midfielder will join Tyla-Jay Vlajnic to miss Saturday’s clash with the Wanderers, as Vlajnic embarks on UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 qualification with the Serbian national team.
Bryleeh Henry and Karly Roestbakken will join Davidson and the Matildas in the first week of December for a pair of friendlies against Chinese Taipei at AAMI Park and GMHBA Stadium.
Don’t miss them in action this Saturday ahead of the international window. Get your tickets now.
