Melbourne City crowned A-League Club Champions for the third time

Melbourne City FC has claimed its third A-League Club Championship title, reaffirming its status as one of the most consistently high-performing clubs in Australian football.

The Club Championship, awarded to the best-performing club across both the A-League Men’s and A-League Women’s competitions, reflects the overall strength and depth of a club.

With a combined total of 103 points across both competitions, City outperformed every other A-League club. It marks the third time the Club has lifted the trophy in four seasons, having also been the inaugural champions of the competition.

The A-League Women’s side played a pivotal role in the achievement, delivering one of the most dominant seasons in league history. The team went through the entire regular season unbeaten, an invincible campaign that saw them clinch back-to-back Premiers Plates.

Their final regular season record of 16 wins, seven draws, and zero losses gave them an extraordinary 55 points and cemented their place in the history books.

Cit’s A-League Men’s squad also impressed, finishing second on the ladder with 48 points from 14 wins, six draws, and six losses.

Claiming three of four Club Championships is a testament to the strength of City’s Men’s and Women’s teams and highlights the shared ambition and performance across both sides.

City’s focus now shifts to finals in both the A-League Men’s and Women’s competitions, as both teams hunt further silverware after securing Semi-Finals football.
