Melbourne City have discovered their Group Stage opponents for the 2025/26 AFC Women’s Champions League Group Stage, following the official draw held at AFC House in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday evening.
City legend Melissa Barbieri was on hand to assist with proceedings at AFC headquarters, as the draw revealed the path ahead for the reigning A-League Women’s Premiers.
Seeded in Pot 1, City were drawn into Group A, which will be hosted in Vietnam between the 13-19 November. Joining City in the four-team group are hosts Ho Chi Minh City Women’s FC, Lion City Sailors FC and Stallion Laguna FC.
This marks the second edition of the AFC Women’s Champions League, with City eager to build on last year’s historic campaign, where they advanced all the way to the final in the competition’s inaugural season.

After beginning pre-season earlier this week, Head Coach Michael Matricciani and his squad will continue their preparations for the commencement of the A-League Women’s season and AFC Women’s Champions League Group Stage, with both set to take place in November.
