PFA TOTS: Three City stars recognised

Three Melbourne City stars have been recognised by their peers following standout campaigns, earning selection in the 2025/26 PFA A-League Men Team of the Season.

Defenders Nathaniel Atkinson and Aziz Behich, along with exciting attacker Marcus Younis, were all named in the player-voted squad announced by the Professional Footballers Australia (PFA), with Atkinson earning a place in the starting XI and Behich and Younis selected on the bench.

Selected by fellow A-League Men players at the conclusion of the regular season, inclusion in the PFA Team of the Season is regarded as one of the highest individual honours in Australian football.

Atkinson enjoyed an outstanding campaign at right-back, making 22 A-League Men appearances and proving a consistent presence throughout the season. Equally effective in defence and attack, the Socceroo played a key role in City’s strong regular season performances and was rewarded with selection in the competition’s best XI.

On the opposite flank, captain Behich once again demonstrated his class and leadership across a superb campaign. The experienced full-back featured 25 times in the league, while also contributing three goals as he led from the front both on and off the pitch. His inclusion among the substitutes further underlines the impact he had throughout the season.

Despite only arriving midway through the campaign, Younis made an immediate impression in City blue. The dynamic 20-year-old winger scored seven goals and provided three assists in just 12 league appearances, quickly establishing himself as one of the competition’s most exciting attacking threats.

City’s three representatives were among an 18-player squad voted on by A-League Men players from across the competition, with the team recognising the standout performers from the regular season.

Congratulations to Nathaniel, Aziz and Marcus on their well-deserved selections.
