City will look to continue to bridge the gap to the top two on Saturday as they take on Moreland Zebras at CB Smith Reserve.
With the race for promotion tight at the top, two losses in the past two weeks has seen Joe Palatsides chargers drop four points off the pace with St Albans moving into the promotion playoff position.
It doesn’t get any easier for City on Saturday as they travel to Fawkner to face one of the best teams in the NPL on paper. Danny Gnjidic’s Zebras have themselves come off a torrid run that has seen them fall off the promotion pace however a win last week against the resurgent Werribee City may be the spark they need for a late season charge to the summit.
With both sides having it all to play for, Saturday’s encounter will be one of the matches of the round with what’s at stake for both sides in the context of their seasons.
