Following an investigation by Football Australia (FA) into the pitch invasion by Melbourne Victory FC supporters during the Melbourne Derby on Saturday 17 December, FA have this afternoon released their findings.
In addition to sanctions imposed on Melbourne Victory FC, a decision on the status of the abandoned match has also been confirmed, with the match set to be replayed.
The match will resume play from the 22nd minute with a scoreline of 1-0 in favour of Melbourne City FC, with Aiden O’Neill’s 11th minute goal set to stand.
We will now work with the APL, AAMI Park and Ticketek to determine an appropriate date for the replayed fixture.
